The Amazing Southwest on B&W film

The above photograph shows Bryce Canyon. All photographs in this post were taken by yours truly.

In May I took my husband to some of the more scenic locations in the amazing southwestern United States. I took him to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, where we camped a few nights, and then we went up into Utah to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. We also visited a photographer buddy of his, whom he had only communicated with via Instagram, in Kanab, UT. While in Kanab, we visited the old Gunsmoke television show set (Ms. Kitty’s is pictured below). Then we came back down through Glen Canyon Dam, by Lake Powell, and through the reservation (there are so many Native American Reservations in Arizona) and back home to Payson. We had so much fun! I am so grateful that he still had enough eyesight at the time that he was able to see those beautiful sites, even thought he is legally blind. His eyesight has continued to fade, and we do not know how much longer he has, but we will take it day-by-day.

I took my Canon AE-1 Program with me and took some lovely photographs while we were on our roadtrip (if I might say so myself). I thought I would share them with you! And, yes, these are all black and white film photos! My husband develops the film and scans them into his computer. I love this camera, as it always does such a fabulous job. ENJOY!
