I took a little hiatus from this blog, as I lost some inspiration. Life gets complicated and difficult sometimes and the last thing I wanted was to blog about my troubles. I want to share creativity with everyone, which is something positive. Being creative relaxes me — its my favorite form of therapy. While talking with a counselor is great if it helps you, I find that just spending time in my studio with some decorative paper and photographs or my Bible and Gelatos or watercolors and a watercolor paper pad is so calming. It helps me focus on something creative for a while, which calms my nerves and lifts my spirits. I think all that other stuff is still in the back of my brain, being mulled over without my realizing it. But then I return to the issue at hand with a new set of eyes and heart open to God’s will. My favorite therapy is always Bible Journaling — which I shall do more often.
So, do you ever have the Crafty ZOOMies? Times when you just want to craft for a few hours and not think about anything aside from those crafts? I DO and I want YOU to join me via ZOOM! I have sessions set up for every other Friday evening, starting this Friday, from 6 pm to 8 pm AZ time (that’s 9-11 EST currently). (As some of you may know, Arizona does not observe Daylight Savings, so while the time won’t change for me throughout the year, it will for you, so keep watch for that come October.) Check out my Google Calendar on the “Upcoming Events” page on this blog for all the info!
Don’t you LOVE a good Brunch! Me, too! And starting Monday, I will be joining you on ZOOM every other Monday morning at 9:30 am Arizona time (12:30 pm EST). Grab a snack and your favorite morning beverage and hop online with your craft supplies in front of you. Let’s share what we’ve been working on and our plans for future projects! Maybe we can learn some new techniques from each other!
I am looking forward to meeting you on Zoom. The schedule may change in the future, as no one knows what that future holds. However, I will update the calendar and meeting times as soon as I find out that there is a change.
That’s it for today . . . I am looking forward to updating this blog again . . . and I am even more excited about meeting YOU on Zoom for some craft sessions. TTFN
